ENGAGE. ASSIST. EMPOWER.
Founded in 2010, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) is a national non-profit organization that exists to engage, assist and empower society's protectors, our nation's "Sheep Dogs" - the men & women who make up our military, law enforcement, fire & rescue, and EMS professions. SDIA provides our members and fellow Sheep Dogs with continued service opportunities to satisfy their innate desire to serve and help those around them through our Disaster Response Mission and Outdoor Adventures programs.
Getting these heroes - especially those who have been injured in combat or the line of duty - up off the couch and around other Sheep Dogs who have experienced similar situations is crucial to their healing and renewing their sense of purpose. This camaraderie and peer support can be the difference between reengaging in life to the fullest or choosing to end it. For Sheep Dogs, "Helping Others is a Way of Life," and "Helping is Healing."
Our headquarters is in Rogers, Arkansas. We currently have 15+ chapters and teams in 13 states, and more than 5,000 members, volunteers and supporters nationwide.
