School On Wheels Indianapolis

Since 2001, School on Wheels’ mission has been to provide one-on-one tutoring and educational advocacy for school-aged children experiencing homelessness. We equip these children with the educational tools necessary to achieve success in life and break the cycle of homelessness. We provide our services through strategic alliances with 28 public schools and shelters, including emergency, transitional, and permanent supportive housing providers, at no cost to the children and families we serve. Working with the whole family, students in grades K-12 receive tutoring and academic support, while their parents/guardians receive education-based case management and work toward educational goals for their family.
