Satlink S.L. was established back in 1992 in Spain to take advantage of the new satellite communications technology then. Since then, Satlink has positioned itself to be the main mobile satellite supplier in Spain and has also extended its focus to the rest of the world by providing solutions, systems and services for the global maritime, aeronautical and terrestrial markets. The main objective of Satlink has been and will continue to be providing the latest technological developments in satellite communication globally. Satlink presently has service agreements with Inmarsat and Thuraya to provide solutions at very competitive satellite communications rates to its customers. It also has a R&D department which designs and develops products mainly for the maritime industry based on Inmarsat satellite technology. Satlink is the main provider of the Spanish "Vessel Monitoring System" and has manufactured more than 40,000 Inmarsat satellite buoys for the tuna fishing industry over the last four years.
