Salov Spa

Salov was founded in 1919 in the province of Lucca, Tuscany, where it’s based the Group’s headquarters and production site. The Group executes in-house all the strategic phases of the edible oil value chain, from procurement to refining, from R&D to marketing. Salov owns one of the most modern production facilities in Europe, inaugurated in 2006, including a technologically advanced refinery and a fully automated filtering and blending plant, for a total production capacity of more than 230,000 tons per year. Salov’s products are commercialized in the Rest of the World under the Filippo Berio brand and under the brand Sagra in Italy. Filippo Berio is one of the few olive oils to have a truly international brand awareness, holding major market shares in several of the 72 countries where it is currently distributed Today Salov represents one of the most important companies in the olive oil sector, able to face the challenges of globalisation and international competition. The recent partnership sealed with YIMIN FOODS, a subsidiary of the giant Bright Food of Shanghai, confirms the international spirit of Salov, and strengthens its role in “educating and spreading” the culture of oil around the world. This alliance will allow Salov to grow in terms of production, sales and marketing, in respect of tradition and attention to quality that have always inspired every business in the Group.
