Information	Roots and Shoots has a 40 year legacy of delivering training to vulnerable people while developing its beautiful landmark site in Kennington as a haven for people and biodiversity. From a derelict site with a basic building in 1982, Roots and Shoots has grown to become a well established training organisation and an important London garden. We take students from all London boroughs, with the majority residing in Lambeth, Southwark and Wandsworth. Every year we are training over 30 16-24 year olds who have had difficulty coping in the traditional educational system and help prepare them for the world of work. We currently run a Study Programme, Supported Internship and a School Links programme. Alongside this training we involve local schools and the wider community by establishing our site as an important green space for urban biodiversity.
