The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is an independent policy think tank and research organisation that advocates for change to build a stronger economy and better quality of life for the future of Regional Australia. We work with communities, researchers, government, business and individual decision makers to provide research and tools to unlock the potential of regional Australia – for the benefit of all Australians. Our creation, [In]Sight: Australia's Regional Competitiveness Index, is a national-first interactive index and online map of Australia's regions, ranked across ten themes and 59 indicators of potential. [In]Sight provides a wealth of easy-to-find, easy-to-use information, enabling better decisions for regions, and our nation's future.
