RAP | 680 followers on LinkedIn. R.A.P Academy is a “Music Communication ‘N’ Life Skills programme that uses music as a vehicle to help encourage young people back towards education and employment. The fundamental aim of the project is not to turn young people into professional musicians, but to help them grasp a sense of purpose and develop a desire to make something of their lives. RAP Mentors work with young people that are at risk of and involved in serious gang based violence, bringing together the expertise of the Metropolitan Police Service and councils, the Home Office, the Probation Service, local Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships and the Government Office for London to deliver schemes that they cannot deliver alone.
