Q-linea, a biotech company based in Uppsala, Sweden, develops fully automated solutions for healthcare providers enabling them to accurately diagnose sepsis in the shortest possible time. By providing optimal information for every individual patient, the antibiotic burden may be lowered. The ASTar™ system will deliver rapid antibiotic susceptibility results within 6 hours directly from positive blood cultures. Our development platform, ASTrID®, will deliver both molecular identification in a panel of 50+ pathogens including resistance markers, and a phenotypic antibiotic susceptibility profile in 10 hours from blood draw. Both systems will report bacterial growth or inhibition as Minimum Inhibitory Concentration values.
