The Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation Ltd (POWHF) is the registered charity of The Prince of Wales Hospital. It exists to advance the health of Australians by harnessing the generosity of individuals and organisations to support innovation and excellence in patient care, research, education and health promotion at The Prince of Wales Hospital. Our aim is to challenge, inspire and engage individuals and organisations to partner with us to extend the boundaries of healthcare and medical research. The Prince of Wales Hospital is a major public teaching hospital located in Sydney's eastern suburb of Randwick, a leading treatment centre for adults, providing quality care to patients from Sydney and NSW, and offers specialist treatment to interstate patients. It is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of New South Wales, one of the premier medical teaching facilities in Australia. This assists in providing excellence in care in conjunction with a commitment to clinical teaching and medical research. Donations to POWHF help to purchase life-saving medical equipment, improve patient care for ongoing education and health promotion, plus ensures our research teams continue to find better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately cure life-threatening diseases.
