Description
Information
Plasco Energy Group Inc. is a Canadian technology company that converts post-recycled solid waste and hazardous waste into refined syngas fuel, non-leachable aggregate, and clean water. The syngas produced by Plasco's patented Gasification and Plasma Refining System (GPRS) can be used as a substitute for natural gas, or as a fuel for engines or gas turbines. It is clean enough to co-fuel CCGT's, achieveing high thermal efficiency, obviating the need to build a small power plant, and reducing the carbon footprint. It produces no emissions during conversion, Emissions from combustion are similar to those from natural gas. The GPRS can also be used to greatly increase the efficiency of existing and planned. incinerators by superheating steam to 540 deg. C or more, while vitrifying the fly ash they produce. One 200 tpd Plasco GPRS can typically serve an incinerator of 800-1000 tpd. Plasco's technology is NOT the common "torch in a can" plasma gasification. They have produced inefficient plants that were scaled up and commercialized at the customer's expense without testing at scale, operated badly, and failed. Plasco's technology uses hot recycled air for gasification, followed by plasma refining and proven gas refining. Plasco invested over $400M of its own money and 1.2 million man-hours to ensure the product works. After demonstrating the technology could produce a consistent syngas to run GE Jenbacher IC engines for thousands of hours, the technology is now being commercialized worldwide . Plasco's technology has never failed an emissions source test. After extensive due diligence, New Energy Risk, a division of XL Catlin, has issued a term sheet to cover first-of-kind technology risk, not only for the GPRS, but for the entire plant. GE Jenbacher and Solar Turbines have both offered guarantees for operation of their equipment with Plasco syngas. Unlike incinerators, the GPRS produces no hazardous fly ash, does not create dioxins and furans, and has no need for a stack to disperse pollutants. With greenhouse gas reduction, competitive pricing, superior efficiency and cleanliness, high diversion, and no emissions during conversion, Plasco's offering is uniquely attractive.
