After years of research studying repair and maintenance activities on hulls of ships, Duperron Marangon, former Professor of Naval Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), launched the first version of the C4D® in 1994. Six years later, the company was born under the name Engesoftware and was later changed to PhDsoft. Since then, PhDsoft has collected impressive accolades and secured remarkable long-term relationships with clients such as Petrobras, one of the leading oil & gas providers in the world, as well as the largest company in Latin America. As a result, the C4D® is applied to all Petrobras platforms.
