Chronocam is a Paris-based developer of biologically-inspired computer vision sensors and systems for autonomous navigation robotics, AR/VR, IoT applications and much more. Quite simply, its technology, which introduces a new computer vision paradigm based on how the human eye and brain work, significantly improves the performance and power efficiency of how computer vision can be implemented in a wide range of products and applications that improve the convenience and safety of our daily lives. This new standard in computer vision addresses the limitations of conventional machine vision by enabling real time detection of dynamic scene context and by acquiring only necessary data. This is what is known as an event-based approach to image acquisition. Chronocam was formed in early 2014 by an international quartet of entrepreneurs, investors and pioneering neuromorphic computing and VLSI design researchers.
