PGA Europro Tour

The PGA EuroPro Tour is a men’s developmental professional golf tour which was created in 2002 by the merger of the Europro Tour and the PGA Mastercard Tour. The backing and support of the PGA is pivotal to our success as players strive to progress from the PGA Europro Tour to Challenge Tour and then onwards to the PGA European Tour. Every aspect of each event, from refereeing to live scoring, is overseen by official PGA staff. The Tour is based mainly in the United Kingdom and Eire, with several events in mainland Europe. The purpose of the tour is to provide young professional golfer's with a platform to launch their tournament careers. It gives the up and coming stars of tomorrow a chance to compete in front of TV cameras and the general media for a yearly prize fund reaching almost 1 Million Euros. The Tour provides a stepping stone towards the highest levels of the game. Past competitors have successfully gone on to compete at the very top such as Ross Fisher who played in the winning 2010 Ryder Cup Team and Louis Oosthuizen who won the 2010 Open Championship at St Andrews. The Tour is the only officially recognised satellite Tour in the UK that offers it’s players direct access to the European Challenge Tour with the top five finishers gaining category 10 membership. Each event is aired on Sky Sports HD in the UK and a wide selection of channels in Central Europe, Asia, USA and Africa.
