Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) was founded in 1989 by a few visionary outdoor industry professionals who realized that “outdoor” was beginning to be recognized as more than just a passing consumer trend. They created OIA to preserve and promote standards for their industry. More than two decades later, our core purpose remains the same today. OIA Mission: To ensure the growth and success of the outdoor industry. Today, OIA is the leading voice of the outdoor industry and serves more than 4,000 manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, to sales representatives and retailers.
