Oman Tourism College

Oman Tourism College (OTC) was established in 2001, by the Government of Oman i.e. the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Tourism. The development of the tourism industry ranks amongst the top national priorities as Oman plans for economic diversification into non-oil sectors. The core focus of OTC, therefore, is to educate, train, and groom a skilled and qualified workforce for the tourism and related sectors. The College offers specialized programmes and courses aimed developing human resources for the tourism, hospitality, events and related sectors. Students can study for their undergraduate degrees in the fields of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Event Management and Tourism Marketing which are delivered using state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, many of which are unique to the OTC. A range of professional development and vocational courses which can be tailored to meet the particular needs of clients are also included in OTC’s portfolio. The hallmark of all the College's programmes is the opportunity for every student to get hands-on training and individual practice time through a variety of simulation labs, training kitchens and restaurants and professional internships.
