New Orleans Business Alliance

The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) is the official non-profit organization tasked with leading economic development initiatives for the City of New Orleans—the area incorporated in Orleans Parish. We are a public-private partnership between the City of New Orleans and private investors from the local community. NOLABA is the result of a long-term effort by the business community to adapt national best practices in economic development. Our goal is to unify partners and stakeholders to design and build a solid economic foundation for New Orleans: a collaborative and business friendly environment fueled by a unique culture and dynamism unequaled anywhere in the world. Our tactical work centers around attracting new companies and investment, strengthening our current corporate base, and developing new retail opportunities. To do this, we provide confidential, no-fee consultation to businesses and retailers interested in relocating or expanding their operations to New Orleans. Our strategic work is focused on ensuring sustainability, lowering barriers to entry in the marketplace, improving transparency in business transactions, and establishing clear strategies and goals for the future growth of the New Orleans economy. Our mission is initing a diverse community of stakeholders to catalyze job growth, create wealth, and build an equitable and sustainable economic future for New Orleans.
