Nashville Adult Literacy Council

The Nashville Adult Literacy Council is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to teaching reading to US-born adults and English skills to adult immigrants. Each year we serve more than 1,500 learners, work with more than 500 volunteer tutors, and conduct more than 30 classes throughout Nashville. Since opening in 1982, we have trained thousands of volunteers who, in turn, have taught thousands of adults to read and succeed.
