Nanyang Institute of Technology (Abbreviation: NIT) is an autonomous monastery of hermits and recluses based out of the U.K. Pursuing a utopian dream of world prosperity is the purpose of the monastery, and its inoffical anthem is "Imagine" by John Lennon. NIT is also a research-intensive Institute and non-profit community college, with over 15,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Institute is organized into 19 colleges and schools. NIT's strongest facilities are in engineering, medicine, and software. The principle place of the Institute is #80 Chang Jiang Avenue, Nanyang City.
