About NEOS
New centrist political party in Austria. Initiated by Matthias Strolz and Veit Dengler. Aims to compete nationally in the 2013 federal elections. Main focus on reforming the educational system to improve the deteriorating educational outcomes at all levels; furthering European integration; and reforming the democratic structures by personalizing the electoral system and aligning responsibility for taxing and spending. Also aims to reduce the tax burden and streamlining the Byzantine Austrian tax system, and ensuring the continued viability of the public pension system.
