MolecuLight

MolecuLight has developed a first to world optical imaging platform that uses a patented technology platform to instantly detect, visualize, and analyze bacteria, collagen, and other biomarkers of interest in chronic wounds. The MolecuLight platform instantly visualizes bacteria at the bedside with no contrasting agents or patient contact allowing for immediate and actionable information on the accuracy of wound sampling, wound debridement and the determination of bacterial levels in the wound. Current clinical practice is limited due to the lack of technological advances in the screening of chronic wounds. More specifically there are NO devices on the market to help the clinician in determining the amount of bacterial load in chronic wounds at the bedside.
