The Lethbridge Hurricanes are a community owned major junior hockey club and are proud members of the Western Hockey League. The organizations roots are in Winnipeg, where they were first known as the Jets from 1967 to 1973. In 1986 the Calgary Wranglers were sold and moved to Lethbridge to become the Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes have been to the WHL Championship Final 4 times in the last 25 years (1990, 1991, 1997 and 2008), winning their only WHL Championship in 1997. The Hurricanes represented the WHL at the 1997 Memorial Cup, where they lost to the Hull Olympiques of the QMJHL in the title game.
The Hurricanes play their home games at the ENMAX Centre located at 2510 Scenic Drive South in Lethbridge. The ENMAX Centre was opened in 1974 and recently completed a $35 million renovation and is now considered one of the best mid-size buildings in the Western Hockey League. The ENMAX Centre is the largest arena south of Calgary that hosts a number of concerts, bull riding, motocross, graduations and trade shows during the year.
The Hurricanes offer a variety of marketing opportunities, including;
