It is mandated with the following tasks: - Promoting direct investment (both local and foreign) - Streamlining the investment environment to improve Kuwait’s position in competitiveness and doing business in alignment with international indices - Licensing direct investments in accordance with set criteria - Raising awareness regarding the importance of direct investments - Promoting the State of Kuwait's investment environment and available direct investment opportunities. KDIPA is overseen by a Board of Directors chaired by the Minister of Commerce & Industry, and managed by a Director General.
