Home Language International offers you the unique opportunity to stay in a language teacher’s home in nearly every country in the world for a true "full immersion" language learning experience that promotes rapid progress. Students receive one-to-one language lessons each day and full-board accommodation in the home of their private teacher, and many students choose to combine their lessons with cultural, leisure, or sports activities. We confidently state that living in a private teacher's home is the most efficient system for learning a language that has ever been invented. With our home tuition programmes, the student cannot speak his/her native language after class has finished. One teacher for one student means individual attention and a custom-designed programme adapted to the student's particular needs. Not only will you experience living the language you are studying, but you will also experience the culture in the chosen country. We originated this system in 1979 whereby students live and study in their teacher’s homes. Our experience over a long period has enabled us to find more than 3,000 qualified teacher host families worldwide. All of our teachers have either a recognised teaching certificate or a university degree (or equivalent). In addition, our teacher families have been carefully visited by one of our Local Organisers, which means that the qualifications have been certified and the teachers’ homes have been thoroughly inspected. This guarantees that students are lodged with families who are both pleasant and qualified. Home Language International offers 20 languages in over 30 countries and welcomes students of all ages and levels.
