In 1992, John Holmes and Jeff Stuhr joined forces (and names) to create Holst Architecture. What started in an attic with two drafting boards and a Macintosh computer has grown into a dynamic, women-owned studio of talented professionals led by partners Kim Wilson, Kevin Valk, Dave Otte, and Renée Strand. Our value system is based on the belief that the human experience of space informs and prioritizes our solutions, so we can be sure that a holistic concept guides every project from design through construction. For 25 years, our skilled designers in the Central Eastside Industrial District of Portland have been creating innovative places tailored to each client's needs, while expressing the highest environmental, social, and aesthetic ideals.
