Growthpoint Properties Australia is an Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) listed A-REIT (Code: GOZ), that invests in quality, well leased investment property within Australia. With a market capitalisation of approximately $1.8 billion, GOZ is in the top 150 largest stocks on the ASX. It has a stapled entity structure, with internalised management, comprising Growthpoint Properties Australia Limited (the Responsible Entity) and Growthpoint Properties Australia Trust. GOZ has a portfolio of 59 office and industrial properties valued at A$3.1 billion located in every State in Australia as well as in the Australian Capital Territory and has a mandate to invest in office, industrial and retail properties. GOZ aims to grow its portfolio over time and diversify its property investment by asset class, geography and tenant exposure through individual property acquisitions, portfolio transactions and corporate activity (M&A transactions) as opportunities arise. The major security holder in GOZ is Growthpoint Properties Limited which is South Africa's largest listed property group with assets in excess of A$7 billion.
