GO2 Foundation For Lung Cancer

The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation (ALCF) is one of the largest patient-driven philanthropies nationwide devoted exclusively to eradicating Lung Cancer through research, awareness, education, early detection and treatment. ALCF works with diverse partners (physicians, organizations, industry partners, thought leaders, survivors and their families) in taking actions NOW in the laboratory, in hospitals and in the public forum that lead to solutions for patients. Since its founding as a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization in CA in 2006, the ALCF has raised more than $20 million dollars for Lung Cancer research, patient services and awareness. Two words tell our mission: INCREASE SURVIVAL. Patients fighting Lung Cancer today and those who will be diagnosed tomorrow are at the heart of our mission. Driven by the knowledge that Lung Cancer is the number one cancer killer worldwide annually, our imperative is to dramatically increase patient survival rate. Because we are patient founded, focused and funded, we know how to answer their questions and support their immediate and long-term needs. To this end, we fund clinical research and provide patient programs, give patients hope and ensure that their voices are heard in advocating for changes to transform Lung Cancer into a manageable, chronic disease and ultimately, a curable disease. Our foundation’s commitment to our patients is to collaborate and partner with the leaders in oncology, technology, science, medicine and philanthropy to make Lung Cancer a chronically managed disease by 2023. We believe that personalized medicine is the gateway to success and we will power progress by involving patients, donors, clinicians, pharma, biotech, payers, government and public and private enterprise. We are in it until we finish it!
