Frederic Schad, SAS (SCHAD(. is a full service logistics company established in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. Founded as a steamship agency and stevedoring company in 1922 by Mr. Frederic Schad, a Swiss citizen, Frederic Schad, Inc. has maintained the same identity and philosophy since its inception.During the last 80 years we have expanded our operations to all the ports within the Dominican Republic and extended our activities into such related areas as air cargo, trucking, bonded Warehousing, terminal operations, repair facilities, harbor towing, salvage, insurance, cargo surveying, vessel surveying, maritime law and shore excursions. Our main headquarters in Santo Domingo along with our offices and terminals at Rio Haina, Manresa, Santiago, Puerto Plata, and at the main international airport (SDQ) are staffed with more than four hundred and fifty highly qualified employees.
