FLIPANY (Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth) empowers youth and adults through physical activity and nutrition programs while raising awareness and creating policy changes for healthier communities. Through a variety of programs, including Department of Health's Afterschool Meal Program, Nutrition Education, Running clinics, Spring Break Mountain Bike Camp, Earn A Bike, and the groundbreaking Share Our Strength's Cooking Matters™ , FLIPANY aims to help youth and adults understand the benefits of proper nutrition and exercise, and get them on the road to a healthy lifestyle. Annual fundraising events include FLIPANY Fun Run 5K/10K in January, Spring Break Camp in March, Chefs Up Front at the W Fort Lauderdale in August, Chefs Up Front at the Biltmore Hotel in September, and Take a Kid Mountain Biking in October.
