Exergyn has developed an engine that runs on hot water. Technically, it converts low-grade heat (<100degC) to power at low cost and high power-density. The technology is particularly suited to industrial applications e.g. Combined Heat & Power (CHP), Biogas, Centralised Power, Geothermal, and Cargo Shipping.
It's important to note that we are not an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) technology or variation thereof. In fact, we do not use heat exchangers at all, which makes us a game-changer. Compared to ORCs our technology is significantly cheaper, more power-dense, easier to install and has no hazardous materials or gases.
