The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), established in 1983, is a premier autonomous and not-for-profit institution located in Bhat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Sponsored by leading financial institutions such as IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., and the State Bank of India (SBI), EDI is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship across India. With a sprawling campus on twenty-three acres of land provided by the Government of Gujarat, EDI has made significant strides in promoting entrepreneurial education and development.

Over the years, EDI has successfully established twelve state-level exclusive entrepreneurship development centers and institutes, significantly enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. One of its notable achievements is the integration of entrepreneurship education into the curricula of numerous schools, colleges, science and technology institutions, and management schools across various states. This initiative has not only enriched academic programs but also inspired a new generation of entrepreneurs.
