Founded in 1932 as the national development agency for the folk arts, EFDSS promotes learning and participation, performance, artists’ development and advocacy. EFDSS manages the acclaimed National Youth Folk Ensemble; works with schools, colleges, community groups and cultural organisations across England; and runs classes, courses, projects and events for most ages and levels of experience.
