Established with two underground transporters by Craig Barnett in 2000, Cougar Mining Group has grown to include fellow director/shareholder Chad Dillinger, currently employing approx. 60 people involved with maintaining and managing a wide-ranging fleet of approx. 100 units of mobile underground equipment comprising loaders, driftrunners, auxiliary fans, heavy/longwall relocation equipment, shearer carrier, chock carriers, 40 & 60T heavy lifts, mynedozer, mule, flitmate etc. in addition to comprehensive group of attachments and smaller mining implements. Cougar has developed significant workshop and field maintenance capabilities supporting the hire fleet equipment as it cycles through and between hires, maintaining safety, compliance, reliability, and fit for purpose. Cougar Mining Group is proud of its local ethos, people, business, and community supporting the underground coal industry in the Illawarra, Western Districts, Hunter Valley and Central Queensland.
