Council-owned and operated major facilities include: • Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery (Inveresk and Royal Park) • University of Tasmania Stadium • City of Launceston Leisure & Aquatic Centre • Launceston Waste Transfer Centre • Carr Villa Memorial Park • Launceston Visitor Information Centre The council directly employs approximately 600 staff servicing aproximately 70,000 direct municipal residents and the wider Launceston & Northern region population of more than 150,000.
