Agoura Hills is a unique suburban community situated at the edge of Los Angeles County just south of Ventura County. As a local government agency, there are a variety of great career opportunities. The City operates as a contract city, contracting out for many of its general services. The following departments manage daily and long-term operations: City Manger, Community Development, Finance, Building & Safety, Public Works, City Clerk, and Community Services. The staff operates under a "family structure," in that everyone works cross departmentally to accomplish the goals set by the City Council. The ability to wear different hats and gain valuable hands on experience is prevalent. The ability for staff members to share ideas and use a collaborative process is encouraged.
