Operation(s): Detention Center, Residential Treatment Facility, Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (Boot Camp) Detention Services: The Brazoria County Juvenile Justice Department provides a safe and secure detention facility for juveniles between the ages of 10-17 who are referred to the juvenile office by police agencies or courts in Brazoria County. No juvenile is held over 48 hours without a detention hearing as mandated by the Juvenile Code of Texas. Probation Field Services: The Brazoria County Juvenile Justice Department provides post-court field services to the juvenile offenders. The Brazoria County Juvenile Justice Department provides a network of community-based services including casework supervision, counseling, placement, educational and treatment based services.
