Botho University

Botho University was established in 1997 and has rapidly evolved to become a high quality and multidisci plenary university from a modest background, having been awarded the university status in 2013. Botho University is the first local private university in Botswana. The University currently has four faculties namely, Faculty of Business & Accounting, Faculty of Computing, Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Distance Learning & Education that offer a wide range of undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Engineering, Information Management, Computing, Network Security and Computer Forensics, Mobile Computing, professional accounting qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, and the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) qualification, programmes in Higher Education and over 200 short-term programmes that are suitable for career development. Botho University has a number of international partnerships with well-known international institutions such as Teesside University UK, Ohio University USA, Manipal University IND, Wayne State University USA, Indian School of Mining IND, University of Venda RSA, Blackhills State University USA & University of Louis Ville Kentucky USA. We have 3 campuses in Botswana in Gaborone, Francistown and in Maun and a fourth one in Maseru, Lesotho which is our very new campus. The Botho Graduate Profile articulates our mission to produce globally employable graduates by continuously expanding co-curricular and extracurricular programmes to support the positive personality development of our students both inside and outside the classroom.
