Booktopia is fast becoming the local bookstore for all Australians. We ship over 2,000,000 parcels a year to Australian addresses. Over 3,600,000 Australian people, businesses, schools, libraries, universities and government departments have placed an order for books, DVDs, CDs, maps, eBooks, calendars and many other products, with Booktopia since our inception in 2004. Booktopia is an 100% Australian owned and operated business. We have a 10,000 square metre Headquarters and Distribution Centre in Homebush where we normally stock around 500,000 books ready to ship. Over 75% of all books ordered on our site are stocked in our Homebush warehouse. The other 25% are titles we have to order in and we source these items from publishers and suppliers across Australia as well as flying them in from the UK and USA. In a country this size, if you can genuinely do a good job delivering to rural and regional Australia then you pretty well have the whole of the nation covered. Our fast thinking and creative marketing team responds to the latest book trends by working closely with the Australian publishers. Booktopia offers more insight than just the book descriptions and covers by adding video book trailers, internal images, reviews, author interviews and book extracts to the Booktopia site. That's why it is no surprise that BRW voted Booktopia as one of the fasted growing businesses for seven years. BRW Fast 100 in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016. Booktopia is the only retailer, be it online or a physical store, who has ever achieved this feat. We have grown so fast for so long because Australians keep buying from us and that enables us to keep developing our computer systems, increasing our stock, hiring more staff and in most cases, exceeding our customers'​ expectations. At the 2016 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) we were named National Book Retailer of the Year.
