The BLOC hotel philosophy is new to the UK, currently located in St Paul's Birmingham and London Gatwick Airport's South Terminal. BLOC are committed to offering smart accommodation at honest prices for the savvy traveller. The concept is based on ideas we’ve adapted from the best designers and innovators from around the world, by injecting some British creativity, we have pushed the boundaries of hotel design. From the build methodology right down to the finishes in each room, we work with the latest materials and innovative techniques. The idea is to build very cleverly using the very best materials whilst still making it as cost-effective as possible. This means we can offer our guests really chic rooms in prime city centre locations at very, very good prices. The reaction so far has been amazing. It may be a new concept, but people get it immediately and love what we do. We undertook a lot of research before we embarked on this business and quickly realised that not everyone wants to spend lots of time in their hotel. Most people want to explore the city and eat out, so why build and staff a restaurant? Most people don’t even want to unpack so why put in unnecessarily sized rooms with vast wardrobes? What we offer is a much more intelligent concept for people who are looking for a stylish few nights stay at a great rate.
