Who we are
We are a global community dedicated to increasing equity in tech by fostering an environment where talents from a black ethnic background can thrive.
Issue:
There is currently a negative stereotype around blackness, recent events in America only confirm this. Tech can play a role in helping to challenge these stereotypes and moving conversations forward through positive representations in product development and how we interact with products.
What do we want to achieve?
1. Increase representation within tech: There is currently a lack of representation of black employees within tech. Having a fair representation ensures black people are part of the conversation around product development and ensuring positive stereotype of blackness is re-enforced.
2. Increase social mobility: We want to increase the social mobility of the black community, by successfully supporting young black people to access high paid roles within tech.
How: Through an immersive 8-week mentoring programme.
