Information
Today's Best Yet Market facilities and Team Members are still driven by the three basic beliefs that drove our very first store. Our founder Ben Raitses, started with a small fruits and vegetables store in Brooklyn. He traveled daily to the Bronx to pick out the finest quality produce at the lowest possible cost for the customers. Then he trucked this hand picked merchandise from the Bronx Terminal Market to his store in Brooklyn. In 1994, our current family-owned chain of twelve supermarkets opened its first Long Island supermarket in Lake Ronkonkoma under the name of Produce Warehouse of Ronkonkoma. Our initial store quickly delighted our customers with quality fresh fruits, vegetables, Boar's Head cold cuts, custom cuts of quality meat, freshly baked breads, and unique groceries all sold at unbeatable prices. Shoppers were extremely happy with the personal and friendly service given by our family of dedicated Team Members. In 2002 our name was changed to the Best Yet Market. While our company today hardly resembles our initial market in Brooklyn, our values remain the same and guide us as we continue to grow. Best Yet Market strives for excellence in all areas of the supermarket industry. Each year we grow and our customers and employees have felt the change that has amassed our company. Employees are always at the top of the most satisfied list and they have many reasons to be up there. Customers have come to expect only the best from our markets. Innovations and advancements in the community has always been our top most priority. We here at the Best Yet Market try to keep our customers happy and satisfied with the best that all our market has to offer.
