Family business Axel Johnson was founded in 1873 and is now run by the fourth and fifth generations. Every day we interact with a million customers who buy goods and services from our affiliated companies. Axel Johnson builds and develops profitable trade and service businesses in the European market, with a focus on the Nordic countries. The today wholly and partly owned companies within Axel Johnson AB had a total annual turnover of approximately SEK 87 billion (2020). All told, our operations employ approximately 25,000 people, and we are trading partners with thousands of companies worldwide, which makes Axel Johnson one of the largest trade and service companies in the Nordic region.
