Auckland Live is a key cultivator of culture in Auckland. We enrich the region’s vibrancy by championing Auckland internationally to secure big name shows and concerts, collaborating with national and international arts companies and festivals to bring the best variety of performances to our city and stages, and by introducing children to the excitement of the stage — cultivating New Zealand’s future performers and artists. As the home of live entertainment for Auckland and Aucklanders, we represent and celebrate the coming together of different people, culture and emotions. Our range of iconic venues are the perfect stage to present a programme of live arts and entertainment for the enjoyment and inspiration of Aucklanders. Part of the magic of a live performance comes from the venue it is performed in. Whether it’s the ornate beauty and majesty of The Civic, the best acoustic quality of Auckland’s Town Hall, the shiny new ASB Theatre auditorium, or the grand openness of Mt Smart Stadium - Auckland Live has it all. While most of our venues are located in the Auckland CBD within just a short walk from each other, we do have venues that span the city like the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna and Mt Smart Stadium. Our venues are used to present performances, host events or workshops, or collaborate on programming. There is always something going on at Auckland Live and that’s exciting — It’s always showtime! Auckland Live is the Regional Facilities Auckland (RFA) organisation responsible for live arts and entertainment, formerly known as THE EDGE. RFA is a Council Controlled Organisation. Also under the RFA umbrella are Auckland Zoo, Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Stadiums and Auckland Conventions and Events – so we are in good company.
