With a history dating back to 1893, Hjort is today one of Norway’s leading law firms. From our offices a stone’s throw from both the Norwegian Supreme Court and Oslo District Court, we provide a comprehensive range of legal services to corporate clients in the public and private sectors, as well as private individuals.
Our corporate clients are drawn from a variety of sectors and industries, and we are frequently retained by the country’ largest companies to represent their interests both in and out of court.
Hjort is owned by 38 partners, who are all actively engaged in the firm’s operations. Around 100 of our 130-strong staff are lawyers and associates, whose skills and expertise cover all the major practice areas. Indeed, the firm is top ranked for both dispute resolution and employment law, and is highly recommended in numerous other fields.
Based in Oslo, Hjort assists clients from all over Norway as well as abroad. Hjort is a member of both TerraLex, a worldwide network of independent law firms, and Ius Laboris, a global alliance of labour, employment and pension law specialists.
