The ALS Therapy Development Institute and its scientists actively discover and develop treatments for ALS. We are the world's first and largest nonprofit biotech focused 100 percent on ALS research. Led by people living with ALS and their families, we understand the urgent need to slow and stop this disease. Our unique and comprehensive approach leverages over fifteen years of treatment-focused ALS research and applies it on an industrial scale to get therapeutics to today's ALS patients as quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible. The translational research environment brings together more than 30 full-time scientists whose expertise include assay development, computational and molecular biology, pharmacology, and protein biochemistry.
