Information
The 9th Mission Support Command is a U.S. Army Reserve Command under the operational control of U.S. Army Pacific. Headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii, our command is comprised of approximately 3,500 Army Reserve Soldiers and 160 civilians throughout the Pacific to include Hawaii, Alaska, American Samoa, Japan, Korea, Guam and Saipan. The 9th MSC is engaged throughout the Asia-Pacific realm, providing trained and ready forces to overseas contingency operations, playing a vital role in approximately 20 U.S. Army Pacific Theater Security Cooperation Program exercises, and providing key battle staff in support of Joint Task Force Homeland Defense. MISSON: 9th MSC executes mission command of assigned Army Reserve forces to generate combat-ready units and Soldiers for mobilization and deployment in support of worldwide contingency requirements. When directed, provide GO HQs mission command capabilities in the USARPAC AO. VISION: READY to rapidly mobilize, deploy, and execute Decisive Action. Pride of the Pacific! LINEAGE: "PRIDE OF THE PACIFIC" The 9th Mission Support Command is a U.S. Army Reserve Command under the operational control of U.S. Army Pacific Command and provides trained and ready forces to overseas contingency operations. The command has Soldiers throughout the Pacific to include Hawaii, Alaska, American Samoa, Japan, Korea, Guam, and Saipan. The 9th MSC plays a vital role in approximately 20 exercises under the U.S. Army Pacific Command Theater Security Cooperation Program, standing ready to provide humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and Defense Support of Civil Authorities. The 9th MSC Headquarters and assigned units contain a U.S. Army Hospital and provide a ready force of engineers, military police, infantry, civil affairs, and public affairs, as well as the mariners who operate the Logistical Support Vessel SSGT Robert T. Kuroda.
