The mission of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is to just, socially inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and healthy local, national, and global communities. The school encourages open discussion of all viewpoints, working together in a unique and multidisciplinary manner while promoting systematic thinking and innovative problem-solving aimed at some of society’s most complex and challenging problems. Our STEM-designated urban planning program has consistently been ranked among the top five in the nation by the Planetizen Guide to Graduate Urban Planning Program. Less than a decade old, our health administration master’s program was also ranked among the best in the nation, and #1 in New Jersey, in 2023 by U.S. News and World Report. The undergraduate public health major has also been ranked among the best in the U.S. by College Factual, including a #1 ranking for veterans and non-traditional students.
