Tradition des Etudes Internationales & Nouveaux Enjeux Globaux Le Global Studies Institute a été créé en 2013. Environ 1’450 étudiants y sont immatriculés. Il privilégie l’interdisciplinarité dans l’étude des relations internationales et régionales afin de mieux appréhender les nouveaux enjeux du monde contemporain dans leur globalité. Des formations interdisciplinaires qui s’appuient sur la diversité des facultés partenaires Les étudiants du GSI bénéficient d’enseignements dispensés par environ 150 collaborateurs de l'enseignement et de la recherche et près de 90 professeurs rattachés aux différentes facultés de l’Université de Genève. La plupart des étudiants sont inscrits dans le Baccalauréat universitaire en relations internationales (BARI). Les étudiants postegrades ont la possibilité de suivre quatre différents programmes de Master spécialisés en études régionales. Cela concerne l’Europe, la Russie et l’Europe médiane, le Moyen-Orient, l’Afrique. Le GSI offre également un master interdisciplinaire en santé globale. Le GSI propose également trois programmes de Master de formation continue en sécurité internationale et en gouvernance globale, ainsi qu’un Doctorat interdisciplinaire en études globales.
