As master developer of Summerhill—the 80-acre redevelopment of the former Turner Field site in Atlanta—Carter has demonstrated its ability to reimagine urban districts. The firm also recently introduced Story, a collection of garden-style apartment communities in key Southeastern markets, and is constructing The Grounds, a 100-acre mixed-use development in Winston-Salem anchored by a 127,000 SF Class-A office building for Wake Forest University alongside retail, residential and enhanced public infrastructure. Carter maintains a robust track record of delivering stadium- and university-adjacent mixed-use districts nationwide. Founded in 1958, Carter has earned its reputation by creating lasting value for partners, investors and residents. Guided by a strengths-based culture of trust and candor, its purpose is clear: responsibly develop real estate, cultivate relationships and create places that transform communities so people can thrive.
