Cardea is a national, women of color-led organization with more than 50 years of experience in social impact evaluation, policy advancement, capacity development, and professional learning. Cardea is based in Seattle, Washington with offices in Austin, Texas; Oakland, California; and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Cardea envisions a world in which optimal health and well-being, equity, and justice are realities for all communities, and we address complex program, policy, and systems issues by co-creating solutions that center community strengths and wisdom. Throughout our history, Cardea has been deeply committed to equity and justice. Within and across our strategic approaches, we integrate equity and social justice to strengthen and transform systems, communities, and organizations. We are passionate about: • Advancing social impact evaluation by designing approaches that leverage data to answer important community questions and foster new understanding • Informing policy advancement by connecting evidence and practice to support sustainable solutions that center community strengths and wisdom • Engaging in collaborative capacity development that honors communities and organizations’ inherent strengths and drivers of success • Promoting competency-based professional learning to develop compassionate and inspiring leaders
