We also operate intercity services across NSW to Scone, Dungog, Richmond, Bathurst, Leppington, Goulburn, Bomaderry, and Port Kembla. With a staff of over 13,000 people, Sydney Trains also operates and maintains assets such as tracks, trains, signals, overhead wiring, stations and facilities, as well as maintaining trains and a large proportion of the infrastructure used by NSW TrainLink. The total value of the asset portfolio we maintain is around $44 billion, with a cost of operations of $5 billion – which makes Sydney Trains the largest public transport system in Australia.
